Our Structure

Socialists for Independence, May Day 2023

Our Structure

Socialists for Independence is a network of activists established in 2021 to want to work together to campaign for an independent, socialist Scotland.

We work broadly with all political parties, groups and activists who share our values of independence, equality, ecology, community, socialism and internationalism.

How we organise

Socialists for Independence is a membership-led, grassroots organisation. Our campaigns, policies and broader strategic direction are all determined democratically by our members at our Annual General Meeting.

We hold monthly meetings both in person and online, which everyone is welcome to attend. We hold regular political discussions on issues which affect our campaigning, as well as hear updates from office bearers.

The strategic political work of Socialists for Independence is carried out by the Executive Committee. This body is made up of five office bearers and four non-executive positions. You can find out more about these positions below.
